Improving Health Equity of Young People? The Role of Social Enterprise

This Australian Research Council Linkage project, in partnership with the Centre for Social Impact, Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth), Social Traders and the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA), investigates how social enterprises affect the social determinants of health (SDOH) equities for young people experiencing disadvantage.

The research findings show that Work Integration Social Enterprise (WISE) models have a positive influence on SDOH equity for young people, particularly at the level of individual behaviours and daily living, and on intermediating conditions such as social and professional relationships.
