Dr Robert Campain

Dr Robert Campain is a Research Fellow with the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne (CSI Swinburne) .

Since completing his PhD in Sociology at La Trobe University in 2006, Dr Robert Campain has worked for Scope - a Victorian Disability service provider - and Deakin University, in the School of Health and Social Development.

At CSI Swinburne Robert has been engaged in two research projects in the field of disability and social inclusion, with a focus on aspects of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. This has involved working with two external partners - Mind Australia and Spinal Life, Australia.

The focus of Robert’s work has been in the field of disability and social inclusion, dealing with the day-to-day experiences of people with disability, their families, and carers.

Much of Robert's work has involved developing methods of data collection accessible to a wide diversity of people with disability, including people with an intellectual disability and those using a range of assistive technologies to communicate.

Robert's current work is in partnership with Uniting Vic Tas, and involves developing outcomes measurement systems across the organisation's programs and services to enhance their work within the communities they serve.
