Lucy Macali

Lucy Macali is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne (CSI Swinburne) .
Lucy has over 25 years of experience in disability employment, with extensive expertise from both public service and the disability sector.
Most recently, Lucy contributed to an increase in the employment rate of people with disability across the Victorian public service. She achieved this through the development and implementation of a whole-of-government economic participation policy, which included embedding a focus on the employment of people with disability within the Victorian Social Procurement Framework.
Her central role in the disability employment sector, including the development of its national peak body and working directly with Australia's large employers to increase disability confidence, led to her induction into Disability Employment Australia’s Hall of Fame in August 2014.
