Dr Aurora Elmes
Dr Aurora Elmes is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne (CSI Swinburne) . She has more than ten years’ experience researching mental health and wellbeing in business, healthcare, and community contexts.
Since joining CSI Swinburne in 2016, Aurora has worked on multiple research projects focused on social enterprise resourcing and evaluation; how systems and organisations can support people’s economic and social participation; and making evidence accessible to diverse audiences.
Aurora has successfully delivered project outcomes for a range of clients, including social enterprises and government. Aurora’s research interests include inclusive employment and the intersection of social justice and health.
Her recent work includes a multi-year evaluation of the effects of Australian social enterprise, Vanguard Laundry Services on employment, social inclusion, health, and wellbeing outcomes for people with lived experience of mental ill-health.
