Aurora Elmes

Research Fellow

Aurora Elmes is a Research Fellow and PhD Candidate at the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne.

Aurora’s PhD research focused on understanding the effects of a social enterprise on employment, social inclusion, health and wellbeing, through a three-year evaluation of Australian social enterprise, Vanguard Laundry Services.

Since joining CSI Swinburne in 2016, Aurora has worked on multiple social enterprise research projects, focused on impact measurement, resilience and resourcing. Her research interests include social enterprise, inclusive employment, and how cross-sectoral approaches might support more effective and sustainable solutions to the most pressing social issues of our time.

Aurora's writing has been published in the Social Enterprise Journal, The Conversation, and Power to Persuade.

She holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts.
