Tanja Ohlson

Tanja Ohlson is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre of Social Impact UNSW (CSI UNSW).

Tanja is working on an Australian Research Council funded project on Impact Investing. The project aims to better understand field emergence and the cultivation of market structure in impact investing and sustainable finance, with a special focus on gender lens investing as an emerging field of impact creation.

Tanja earned her doctorate from Said Business School at the University of Oxford, UK. Prior to joining UNSW, she worked at the University of Hamburg, Germany as a scientific advisor and postdoctoral researcher, where she supported Professor Timo Busch in his role as a member of the Federal Government's steering committee of the Climate Protection Science Platform.

As part of her role in Hamburg, she also conducted research on impact investors and their approach to investments into the transformation towards net zero.

Tanja received her MBA from Loughborough University, UK, and a Master of Arts in Corporate Communication from the State University of New York (SUNY), Albany. Before she returned to academe for her doctorate, Tanja worked in financial reporting, sports communications, and management consulting.
