Jenna Mizzi
Jenna Mizzi is a Research Associate working at the Centre for Social Impact at Flinders University (CSI Flinders) and across Criminology in the College of Business, Government and Law.
Her doctorate research turns a critical gaze towards the criminal justice system and the impacts of imprisonment on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities. Recent CSI research has explored civil society perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for communities that house prisons to better support (re)integration.
Jenna is the Chief Investigator for the Wayfinding App study, a co-design project with stakeholders from across government, not-for-profit, industry and community sectors. The ‘wayfinding’ app is a digital tool to connect correction staff and social and health service providers with the aim to better assist individuals with post-prison reintegration and desistance journeys.
Jenna has a background in anthropology and public health and has a strong interest in working alongside regional and remote communities.
