Georgi MacDiarmid

Georgi MacDiarmid is the National Communications Director at Centre for Social Impact (CSI).

Georgi has worked in communications for the past two decades. Prior to starting at CSI, she was the Head of Media, Marketing and Communications at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute where she works alongside around 250 scientists, doctors and academics. Renowned as a global hub of medical research excellence, Georgi was named the Institute’s Employee of the Year in 2017.

Prior to this Georgi worked as a News Reporter and Chief of Staff for Network Ten, as well as a Producer at ABC, Sky News, NBN News and Fox Sports. She was also employed part time as a Lecturer in Video Journalism at MacLeay College and a Media Consultant for Science in Public.

Drawing on her experience as both a Journalist and Public Affairs professional, she is highly skilled in developing effective communications strategies, brand awareness, digital marketing, crisis communications and video production.

Georgi has a Bachelor of Business (Communications Major) as well as a Bachelor of International Studies from the University of Technology, Sydney. She also lived and studied in Mexico at the Tec de Monterrey in Guadalajara.

Georgi is a mum of two young girls, who loves travel, adventure, the beach and above all, family.
