Elena Douglas

Elena Douglas is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Knowledge Society, a for-purpose company providing schools and education systems with evidence-based school improvement programs. Elena is a sought-after advisor and strategist in education reform and advises system leaders, philanthropists, and governments on the most effective means of improving the nation's educational outcomes, particularly in low socio-economic communities. Elena brings a unique perspective to this work, informed by her career as an entrepreneur, innovation advisor, and historian of ideas. Her mission is to ensure that Australia remains a knowledgeable, prosperous, democratic, and compassionate society with a world-class education system, cradle to career. Elena has been teaching philanthropy and social investment at the UWA Business School since 2009. Elena was one of the founders of the Centre for Social Impact. She launched several initiatives at UWA, including the In the Zone Conference series and the Religion and Globalisation, a partnership with the Tony Blair Faith and Globalisation Initiative.
