Dr Linh Nguyen

Dr Linh Nguyen is a lecturer at the UNSW Centre for Social Impact.

Linh's research and educational endeavors are driven by an aspiration to catalyse positive societal impact and meaningful changes. Her deep passion centres on teaching and researching matters of social significance, particularly exploring how these challenges can be effectively tackled through entrepreneurship and innovation. Linh has researched and worked for over a decade with social impact businesses.

Additionally, Linh has engaged in various initiatives that aimed at enhancing the social and economic participation of disadvantaged populations including people with disabilities, women, young people such as the Remote and Rural Enterprise Program, Entrepreneurship Development Network Asia. Linh also participated in multiple research, training and outreach projects including for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, for example, Investing in Women in Southeast Asia; Empowering Women and People with Disabilities: Developing Economic Opportunities through Entrepreneurship Education — Australia Awards Fellowship Program; Building Female Entrepreneurial Skills for Small to Medium Enterprises in ASEAN Countries.

Linh was awarded her PhD at the University of Sydney Business School with the completion of her thesis focusing on evaluating the social impact of social enterprises in resource-constrained settings.

Linh has held positions as the Honorary Associate at the University of Sydney Business School and Deputy Director of Business and Innovation Node — Sydney Vietnam Institute — the University of Sydney. She has been teaching work integrated learning and capstone-style courses, as well as courses in social entrepreneurship, strategy, innovation and management.
