Claire Hutchinson

Claire is a Senior Research Fellow working at the Centre for Social Impact at Flinders University and the Caring Futures Institute, College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Flinders University.

She is a mixed methods social scientist with research interests in social return on investment analysis of health and social care interventions, employment pathways for people with disabilities, and the lived experiences and quality of life of social care recipients.

Claire has been a named Chief Investigator on over $3.3 million of competitive grant funding and has a strong track record of managing and delivering collaborative end-user focused research. Her work has been cited in national and international policy documents relating to ageing, disability, pay and productivity, the economic evaluation of health and well-being interventions (including assistive technology solutions), and the social and emotional needs of carers.

In her pre-academic life, Claire was an organisational psychologist and project manager working in organisational and workforce development.
