Associate Professor Hossein Esmaeili
Associate Professor Hossein Esmaeili is a nationally and internationally recognized scholar in international law—particularly offshore energy and resources law—and comparative law, including Middle Eastern law. His expertise extends to property law, and his influential work has been acknowledged by academic institutions, Australian courts and tribunals, United Nations agencies, the United States Congress, and various media outlets. His academic standing is further reflected through invitations to contribute to international organizations and editorial boards, as well as his supervision of PhD candidates and active participation in research projects, notably those enhancing social justice and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration within culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in Australia.
Committed to fostering critical, engaged learning in a global context, Associate Professor Esmaeili teaches a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses—including LLB and JD—across international law, human rights, law of the sea, property law, equity, and trusts.
