Investing in Mental Health: The Economic Case for Psychosocial Support | CSI UWA webinar

Despite growing recognition of the importance of psychosocial support services, their full economic and social value is often under-recognised and under-measured.

As part of the CSI UWA Research Webinar Series, join us to explore new CSI UWA research on the economic value of psychosocial support and its critical role in improving social outcomes. The webinar will highlight how these supports contribute to wellbeing, recovery, and broader system savings.

Hear from the research team Professor Paul Flatau and Lisette Kaleveld, and Community Mental Health Australia CEO Kerry Hawkins, who will share insights on how psychosocial supports create value for individuals, communities, and government systems. The discussion will explore practical approaches to capturing this value, key evidence gaps, and implications for policy, funding, and service design.

This session will be of interest to policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and anyone interested in strengthening the case for investment in psychosocial support.
