SEDI Capability Building Grants

Capability building grants totalling $6million are now available to for-purpose organisations, as part of the Social Enterprise Development Initiative (SEDI).

Announced in the 2023-24 Federal Budget, grants of up to $120,000 will be awarded to eligible social enterprises.

The SEDI Grants will allow social enterprises to purchase business and impact capability building services from intermediaries, such as financial services, evaluation and impact measurement, business services and legal advice. The goal is to equip social enterprises with the tools and expertise needed to demonstrate and expand their social impact.

The Centre for Social Impact is committed to supporting social enterprises and purpose-driven startups in their growth and readiness for future impact opportunities. Through our four leading partner universities — UNSW, UWA, Swinburne University of Technology and Flinders University — the Centre for Social Impact offers a comprehensive range of capability building services including;
