Dr Joanne Qian-Khoo joined the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne (CSI Swinburne) in May 2018. Previously she worked in the international development sector overseas and in Australia, with a focus on program design, monitoring and evaluation, and impact assessment.

Her project experience covers inclusive finance, financial capability development, livelihoods development, women’s empowerment, poverty reduction, labour and social compliance, and corporate social responsibility. This experience was gained while working with Australian and international NGOs, consulting firms, industry partners, civil society and scholars.

At CSI Swinburne, Joanne’s research and project experience focuses on social impact measurement, evaluation approaches and the social economy.

With an interest in program and policy evaluations and impact assessments of social interventions, Joanne is keen to harness research and evaluation findings to support evidence-based decision making.
