The Common Cause project aimed to help create a more inclusive community and address issues of social disadvantage by making freely available an improved information framework to all interested parties who seek to respond to the current and emerging social needs of Greater Sydney.
This project provides a critical service to social change leaders and practitioners by collating and synthesising the disparate information on social needs of the Sydney Metropolitan community. The project maps the needs of individuals, social groups and the community to allow better planning and resourcing of community initiatives and services on the basis of evidence. It looks at a wide range of indicators in the areas of:
Learning
Earning
Housing
Health
Belonging
Being safe
The report focuses on issues including:
Area differences
Indigenous Australians
