29 Oct 2019, 9 AM - 30 Oct 2019, 5 PM
The WA Social Research Network was formed in August 2018, to bring together a range of collaborative, funded social research projects with a shared aim of creating positive social change for the WA community. The Network is holding its inaugural workshop on 29-30 October 2019 Insights to Action - a unique opportunity for participants from universities, not-for-profit organisations, government and the private sector to draw on insights from robust research to design community solutions.
Day One will be dedicated to providing initial findings and observations from social research projects currently underway in WA, and Day Two a design workshop to apply the insights from day one to collectively develop innovative responses to challenging social issues.
There are 13 scholarships available for people from regional and remote areas, including two that are specifically aimed at facilitating the participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from regional and remote areas. Scholarships will cover registration and up to $1,200 towards travel and accommodation.
