WA Social Research Network Conference 2019

29 Oct 2019, 9 AM - 30 Oct 2019, 5 PM

The WA Social Research Network was formed in August 2018, to bring together a range of collaborative, funded social research projects with a shared aim of creating positive social change for the WA community. The Network is holding its inaugural conference on 29-30 October 2019 Insights to Action - a unique opportunity for participants from universities, not-for-profit organisations, government and the private sector to draw on insights from robust research to design community solutions.

Day One will be dedicated to providing initial findings and observations from social research projects currently underway in WA, and day two a design workshop to apply the insights from day one to collectively develop innovative responses to challenging social issues.

Call for Abstracts

In addition to the six projects engaged in the WA Social Research Networks, eighteen spaces for presentations from other social research projects are available. There are three streams:

  • Supporting children and strengthening families
  • Overcoming inequality and disadvantage
  • Violence, Prevention, and Justice

In keeping with the purpose and principles of the WA Social Research Network, presentations must have a Western Australian connection and meet one (or more) of the following criteria: action oriented, collaborative, and consumer driven

Please complete the abstract submission form [downloadable here] and email the abstract to WASRN@wanslea.asn.au using the subject line Abstract: WA Social Research Network Conference.
