Dr Lyndsey McKee

Dr Lyndsey McKee grew up in Northern Ireland and since 2011 has felt very privileged to call Sydney home - the beautiful land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation.

From a young age, she has volunteered, supported, and worked with numerous not-for-profits across many social issue areas.

From her personal experience and beliefs, she is passionate about the need to level the playing field to support people from all walks of life to have improved access to opportunity.

Lyndsey was the first in her family to attend university, where she undertook a  PhD in corporate social responsibility , focusing on the innovative and community-led efforts of SMEs in delivering social impact.

After completing her PhD, Lyndsey soon realised she wanted to be working within social impact practice. Working for several highly regarded not-for-profits, including Business in the Community UK and United Way (the world’s largest privately funded not-for-profit), Lyndsey has supported, challenged, and learned from hundreds of social impact organisations, from across sectors, with the aim of advancing social change.

She has also helped to develop CSR benchmarks, tools, and guides for business, and played a leading role on several social and place-based cross-sector collaborations to support individuals and communities facing disadvantage.

Lyndsey is the National Industry Director for CSI’s national network.

With her team, Lyndsey is responsible for working with and for industry partners and social impact practitioners to drive evidence-based, systems-level, and positive social change.

She feels very privileged to work with a diverse range of today and tomorrow’s social leaders - supporting them through CSI’s professional development programs and scholarships, and delivering industry-focused research and consultancy activities.
