Claire Stokes

Community Impact Manager , Lecturer, Co-Director Social Impact Festival

Claire Stokes joined the Centre of Social Impact at The University of Western Australia (UWA) Business School in 2015 to assist with the development of of the Centre’s operations. Claire is also a tutor for the undergraduate unit Changing the World, introduced in Semester 2 2015. Since the beginning of 2015, Claire has been the Chair of the Alumni for Social Impact at UWA and also sits on the UWA Centre for Social Impact Advisory Council as a representative of the alumni.

Claire recently shifted into the field of social impact after around eight years of professional experience in the arts, including several years as Program Manager in the Artistic Planning department of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. It was studying units of the Graduate Certificate in Social Impact at UWA inspired Claire to make the move into the field, taking on the role of Manager of The eFriends Project in Perth-based social enterprise Befriend Inc in May 2015.

Claire will complete a Master of Business Administration (Social Impact) at the end of 2015 and also holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours).
