Ashley Nissen

Engagement and Communications Officer

Ashley is an Engagement and Communications Officer for the Centre for Social Impact UWA and Danjoo Koorliny (Walking Together).

Ashley had the pleasure of studying at the University of Western Australia, Royal Holloway University of London, and Tamasek Polytechnic and holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Communication Studies and Psychology.

For the past decade she has been the Assistant General Manager and Marketing Manager of one of Perth’s most reputable live performance venues.

With a love of arts and live events, she is a qualified Audio Describer and Artist Media Manager. As a Director and Co-founder of not-for-profit performing arts collective, The Hairy Godmothers, she loves helping to create thought-provoking works that can act as a catalyst for social change.

With a passion for deepening and strengthening connections and relationships through communications and storytelling, she is grateful to be a part of the Centre for Social Impact team.
