Sara Sarraf

Senior Research Officer

Sara Sarraf is a Senior Research Officer- Amplify Social Impact at the Centre for Social Impact. Her role is responsible for updating Australia’s Social Pulse, managing and developing data and indicators and developing reports.

Sara is currently completing her Masters of International Relations at The University of Sydney where she has taken an interest in units related to public policy and social research. Prior to joining the Centre for Social Impact Sara was working with the Sydney Children’s Hospital where she was conducting clinical research in paediatric pain and palliative care. In this role her research spanned across different areas, including quantitative assessments of resilience and family communication in the context of a child with a life-limiting condition; quantitative measures of chronic pain; and developing qualitative insights to children’s developmental understanding of pain.

Sara currently volunteers her time as CEO to the HADIA Foundation, a humanitarian organisation that specialises in the delivery of health and educational resources to Taliban occupied areas of Afghanistan. She is also involved with the Australian-based refugee charity group I Am A Boat Person, which provides Financial and Business Literacy services to refugees in Australia. She has previously volunteered her time as a researcher with the Institute for Economics and Peace as well as Oxfam Australia.
