Lisa Ryan is the Course Authority for COMM5713: Collaboration for Social Impact at CSI UNSW and is driven by a commitment to social justice and the facilitation of collaboration to achieve systemic change.
A social worker by training, Lisa has worked across place-based change, community development, case management, health promotion, adult education and senior policy roles. This experience informs Lisa's approach to bringing community members and organisations, governments, researchers and others together to generate shared understanding, shared priorities and collaborative action.
An experienced leader, facilitator and consultant, Lisa has worked across the government and non-government sectors on a range of complex social issues over the past 30 years. Her areas of content expertise include HIV and hepatitis, homelessness, Aboriginal health and collective impact.
She now runs Hecate Consulting, a consulting practice which specialises in helping health, human services and community organisations to fulfil their vision and purpose.
In addition, Lisa is a Network Member with Collaboration for Impact - one of Australia's leading social change organisations - and one of five founding Directors of Adaptive Leadership Australia, a for-purpose organisation specialising in developing skills and knowledge in addressing complex social and organisational issues.
Lisa’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and History), Bachelor of Social Work (First Class Hons) and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management. Lisa is also an alumna of the Sydney Leadership Program.Back to Our People
