Heiko studied the Graduate Certificate in Social Impact.
“I was part of the first cohort of students at the University of Western Australia. It was a very special group with representatives from Government, Corporates and the NFP sector. We formed a strong bond and many of us still network together. The shared insights that the network provides still delivers amazing value.”
When Heiko started the Graduate Certificate in Social Impact he was heading up the Strategic Development Department at the Brightwater Care Group. The Department was responsible for identifying new revenue streams from the government, corporate and community sectors to fund capital expenditure projects. Since completing the course he has been working at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research in a similar role where he helps develop and implement their major gifts fundraising programs and corporate partnership programs.
“The course provided me with a much deeper insight into the third sector. Today’s problems cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them. The Graduate Certificate in Social Impact is a solid step in the right direction.”
