Dr Carol Adelman, senior fellow and Director of the Center for Global Prosperity at the Hudson Institute, USA, presented the 2012 Heloise Waislitz Oration in Sydney on Monday, 5 November.
Entitled 'Global Philanthropy and Beyond', Dr Adelman's address explored how global philanthropy has transformed foreign assistance and how new financial mechanisms such as social stock exchanges, impact investing and social entrepreneurship are transforming traditional philanthropy.
