It’s been an amazingly busy month at CSI, with the commencement of the consultation process for the Civil Society National Centre for Excellence and the launch of The Search, among other things.
The Search may be the perfect opportunity for your community or a community you know to kickstart a comprehensive collaborative to addressing a 'stuck' social issue. All entrants to the process will be challenged to develop their approach to their community's issue. One community will be selected to receive up to $1m in cash and in-kind support to implement their solution over several years. My thanks to the partners on this initiative, not least the Westpac Foundation.
Phase one of the Civil Society National Centre for excellence consultation project has been completed with a great response so far. We are now drafting some models for the proposed centre for more comprehensive feedback in phase two. Read more below and sign up through the website to find out more about how you can be involved in the consultation process.
July and August will be no slower for us – we’ve got two great conferences coming up with our second Collective Impact conference in partnership with Social Leadership Australia in Melbourne from 22 - 23 July, and The Social Marketplace, hosted by the NAB, will also be taking place in Melbourne from 7 - 8 August. Read more in our July Update and sign up soon.
Congratulations to the researchers at CSI Swinburne and CSI UNSW for their new projects – there’s more to be announced at CSI UWA soon too!
