Is Fairtrade really a ‘fair go’?

CSI’s Dr Fanny Salignac and Director of Social Business, Cheryl Kernot, have contributed their collective knowledge on the complex issues surrounding the operation of Fairtrade certification and the Fair Trade movement.

 

Following Dr Salignac’s recently published doctoral research, she looks at the different attitudes to ethical consumerism and supply chain management in developed economies and the potential for further development of the movement in emerging global markets. Cheryl Kernot has shared her observations on the varied maturity of markets and attitudes to the Fair Trade movement.
