Indigenous Sustainability: Enterprise, Education & Environment

The links between social, environmental and economic sustainability of Indigenous communities, and how to measure outcomes of programs and initiatives, will be the focus of a conference on Indigenous Sustainability to be held in Sydney this month.

CSI is partnering with the 3 Pillars Network, Australian Employment Covenant, Philanthropy Australia and the Net Balance Foundation to present the one-day conference: Indigenous Sustainability: Enterprise, Education and Environment, which will showcase successful Indigenous businesses and enterprises.

Key speakers include Warren Mundine, Chairman of the Australian Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, Andrew Penfold, CEO of the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation and Rhonda Parker, CEO of the Australian Employment Covenant.

There will also be an interactive workshop ‘Measuring the Change you Make’, to examine how to measure and evaluate projects such as mentoring programs designed to improve Indigenous outcomes.

The workshop will be convened by Ross Wyatt, General Manager, Net Balance Foundation and Simon Gordon, Strategic Direction and Government Affairs, Reconciliation Australia.

The Conference will be held on Tuesday, February 28, at the Imax Cinema Complex, Darling Harbour, Sydney, and the ‘Measuring the Change You Make’ workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 29.
