Our Undergraduate Courses

The Centre for Social Impact developed the first ever undergraduate course with a focus on holistic systems change for social impact for young social change leaders shaping their future career.

About the course

The Centre for Social Impact currently offers two undergraduate courses: at the University of New South Wales, and at the University of Western Australia.

At UNSW: Creating Social Change: From Innovation to Impact is a COMM1000 course at UNSW Australia with an esteemed line-up of guest speakers from across sectors who can share their considerable experience of leading social change to make an impact.

At UWA: Changing the World: Social Innovation, Finance and Enterprise is a BUSN1102 course at the University of Western Australia. This unit highlights how innovation and entrepreneurship are solving major global social and economic challenges such as hunger, poverty, homelessness and intergenerational disadvantage and unemployment.

Want to study this course?

For UNSW students: This course is available as an elective for undergraduate students at the Australian School of Business and as a GenEd course for students in other UNSW faculties. HECS-HELP is available for eligible students. Enrol through myUNSW. You can read more information on the UNSW Handbook.

For non-UNSW students: Creating Social Change: From Innovation to Impact is also be available to study as a 'non-award' (voluntary) course and will be open for cross-institutional enrolment – more information is available on the UNSW website here.
