Trust Foundation Scholarships

A generous gift from Trust Foundation will enable two scholarships to be offered to students enrolling in 2009 for the Graduate Certificate stage of the Master of Business (Philanthropy and Social Investment) offered through the Asia Pacific Centre for Philanthropy and Social Investment Swinburne University of Technology.

The scholarships are valued at $10,000 each and offer a full fee waiver for one year. The course offers high-level study in philanthropy, grant-making, and fundraising.

Trust Foundation was established in 1985 by Trust Company Ltd to support charitable organisations throughout Australia.

To be eligible for the scholarships, students must meet the following criteria:

• Be enrolled for the Graduate Certificate stage of the Master of Business (Philanthropy and Social Investment) Swinburne University of Technology for 2009;

and

• Be Australian citizens or have permanent residency status in Australia.

Selection will be made on the basis of the following criteria:

• Sound academic record;

• Evidence of significant professional and/or voluntary contribution to philanthropic or community affairs;

• Circumstances which make the payment of fees without assistance difficult.

Applications must include details of academic results, the applicant's involvement in community service, summary of your curriculum vitae and names of two referees.
