The tale of two cities
August 26, 2009

The Common Cause report has been discussed in Government News magazine in an analysis by Rob O'Brien.

Common Cause identifies 48 suburbs in ‘social distress' - most of them in the suburbs of Blacktown, Fairfield, Liverpool and Campbelltown. According to the report the richest local government area (LGA) had an average household income equal to 2.8 times the poorest LGA in 2006, an increase in polarisation from the figure of 2.6 times in 2001.
