Stephen Bennett

Senior Research Officer

Stephen Bennett is a Research Officer at the Centre for Social Impact at the University of New South Wales. His research aims to understand, develop and improve systems for effective impact and performance management for social purpose organisations.

Since joining CSI in 2012, Stephen has demonstrated a strong track record across a range of research, industry capacity building and consultation projects; helping organisations develop, interrogate and evaluate the suitability of methods and approaches for impact measurement across a range of organisational contexts. This includes research across: social impact measurement, evaluation, business strategy, and organisation and management systems.

Stephen is an experienced project manager and communicator, taking a leading role across several impact evaluation projects for cross sector stakeholders that include: the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Family and Community Services NSW, the Office of Environment and Heritage, NAB, PwC and Good Shepherd Microfinance. Stephen holds a Master of Commerce majoring in Business Strategy & Organization & Management studies from the University of New South Wales and an L.L.B (Hons) in Company Law from Aberystwyth University.
